Stavros Caramondanis studied in the USA before joining the Caramondani Group in 1992, starting as a storekeeper and steadily advancing through various roles. By 1996, he was appointed Brand Manager, and in 2002, he became the Group’s Commercial Manager.  

Recognizing opportunities in the energy sector, he co-founded Medserve Cyprus LTD in partnership with a Malta-based logistics company, positioning it as a leading provider of logistics and support services to International Oil Companies (IOCs). 

In 2012, he secured a landmark 55-year concession agreement with the Cypriot government to develop Ayia Napa Marina. A year later, he partnered with prominent international businessman Naguib Sawiris and the Orascom Group to bring the visionary Ayia Napa Marina project to life — a world-class waterfront destination blending luxury residences, a state-of-the-art marina, and vibrant commercial spaces.  

As industry leaders in water treatment, in 2018 he played a big role in expanding the company’s existing open water desalinated plants with the successful addition of the Caramondani Desalination Paphos plant. 

Caramondanis’ strategic leadership and commitment to innovation continue to shape Cyprus’s infrastructure and tourism landscape, solidifying his reputation as a key figure in the region’s economic development. ¨  

Panayiotis Agathocleous

Limassol Port Manager, Cyprus Ports Authority

Panayiotis Agathocleous has joined the Cyprus Ports Authority in 2001 as an Administrative Officer at the Head Offices of CPA in Nicosia. He currently holds the position of the Limassol Port Manager (appointed in December 2017) and after serving for many years in various administrative positions within the Organisation.

During his 25 years of service within the Cyprus Ports Authority, he had been dealing with operational matters of all Cyprus ports, with the introduction/implementation of the ISPS Code, with harmonisation of Cyprus ports legal framework with EU Directives, with the preparation of feasibility studies and establishing strategies and development plans of the Organisation. He has also been deeply involved in EU co-funded projects, while representing Cyprus Ports Authority as a panellist in various forums, conferences, and seminars. He was part of the Cyprus Ports Authority team in the commercialisation process of Limassol port services and has represented the Authority in numeral court and arbitration hearings.

He holds a Banking Diploma, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, an MBA, and an MA in Port Management from British Universities. Previously he was employed by Andreas Neocleous & Co (now Elias Neocleous & Co), one of the largest Law Firms in Cyprus, dealing with strategic management, and acting as the quality manager of the firm and as a strategic consultant to the firm’s Managing Director on business development/expansion.

Anthoulis Kountouris is a seasoned civil engineer and business leader with over two decades of experience in engineering, construction, and infrastructure development. A graduate of Kingston University, London, he has built a strong career combining technical expertise with strategic project management.

He serves as Director and Principal Shareholder of PMV Maritime Holdings Ltd, where he is responsible for the development of the Paralimni Marina project—one of Cyprus’s most significant infrastructure and tourism investments. His role involves overseeing planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination for this large-scale development.

Since 2001, he has also been actively engaged in Nicolaides & Kountouris Metal Company Ltd, contributing to the design and supervision of steel structures and complex engineering projects.

Anthoulis brings extensive experience in infrastructure planning, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and the delivery of high-impact projects, making him a valuable voice on topics related to construction, development, and investment.

I was born and raised in Piraeus, having homeland the island of Andros. I come from a family deeply rooted in yachting. Also, I am a mother of two children and grandmother of one girl named Gigi. 

I am a strong and determined leader in the industry with several years of experience in the Yachting Industry. Highly knowledgeable about all aspects of yacht operations, management and as a development director. Able to maintain composure and perform under pressure  and stressful situations while ensuring a safe operation both on board and ashore. I am now managing my own company, named Regatta Plus, which was founded to honour maritime excellence as well as the history which follows its name. A boutique services concept that spans from agency, management to chartering and brokerage. Also, I am President at HCPY and the Greek Private Yacht’s Association

Nicolas Epiphaniou, Managing Director Interyachting Ltd

Nicolas Epiphaniou was born in Famagusta in 1971, graduated from Imperial College with a Diploma in Civil Engineering and obtained a Master Degree in Business Management from the University of East London.

He is the founder and Managing Director of Interyachting Ltd, a Cyprus Company established in 1996, involved in Yacht Sales, Yacht Management, Catamaran Leisure Cruises and Yacht Charters. Aside from the tourism industry, he is also actively involved in a range of other sectors like construction, production and trading of various construction materials and the Tourism Industry.

In addition, he is the General Secretary of the Cyprus Sailing Federation.

Apart from his involvement in Business Yachting from a young age, he is also an active athlete in Sailing in ORC yacht sailing, skippering the racing yacht IronFx. He was sailing from the age of five in Optimist class and later in the Olympic 470 Class where he was the National champion for more than twelve years, representing Cyprus, in various international events worldwide, including the Mediterranean games, European and World championships as well as the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Olympic games.

In 1999, Angelos Menelaou initiated and led the creation of the Department of Maritime Transport and Commerce at Frederick University, delivering the first accredited maritime academic degree program in the country. A passionate promoter of education, Angelos has played a prominent role in the development of focused shipping industry studies in Cyprus.  He holds a Diploma in Business Administration, a BSc in Accounting, a MSc in Transportation Management from the Maritime College of the State University of New York (SUNY) and a Doctorate Degree completed at Middlesex University in 2011, with research focusing on IT tools and workflow processes aiming to improve productivity and quality of work in ship management organizations. This resulted in the authoring of a book entitled: “Enhancement of Productivity through an Integrated Crew Management System”.  Angelos is also an accomplished business manager in the maritime industry, with more than 28 years of experience gained across a wide range of managerial roles including shipping economics, human resources and project management.  He is currently the Group Business Controller of Marlow Navigation, one of the world’s largest crew management companies, which employs approximately 14,000 seafarers on-board internationally trading merchant ships.  Other accomplishments and leadership roles include; Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (FICS), Editor of the International Journal of Energy Sector Management (IJESM), Scientific Consultant of the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry, Chairman of Cy-FOS Education Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of the Limassol Blue Economy Innovation Centre and Leader of the Limassol Sea and Coast thematic for the EU Mission on “100 climate neutral and smart cities by 2030”. 

My goal is to establish myself as a leading Captain in the industry with a strong base of repeat clients. I have previously taken roles to broaden my experience and am now focused on securing a Captain’s position aboard a guest-oriented Motor Yacht over 50 meters

Christina is a C-suite executive in a Single Family Office with over 24 years’ experience in international corporate and banking sectors. She has managed HNW and UHW clients through corporate, fund, trust, and marine structures. Christina holds a BSc (Hons) in Financial Services from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and an MBA. She also possesses advanced professional competence certifications from Cysec and the Institute of Banking, Ireland.

Aris Constantinou

Marine Surveyor for the Cyprus Flag Administration for Shipping Deputy Ministry

Mr. Aris Constantinou is a Marine Surveyor with the Cyprus Flag Administration of the Shipping Deputy Ministry.

Born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus, he holds a Higher National Diploma in Marine Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from the University of New Orleans, USA, and an MSc in International Trade and Shipping Management from Frederick University Cyprus.

He is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) Board USA Chapter and current member of the Cyprus Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Association (CyNAMEA).

He served in the Cyprus Navy as an Engine Second Officer on coastal patrol vessels. Prior to joining the public sector, he spent eight years in technical and operations roles across major ship management companies.

Since 2009, Mr. Constantinou has been with the Cyprus Flag Administration, specializing in maritime security, including ship and port facility security and handling of classified information. He is a Port State Control Officer, an accredited National Flag Surveyor, and a National Expert in Maritime Security accredited to the European Commission.

He currently serves under the Integrated Maritime Ecosystem Directorate in the Ministry, with responsibilities spanning maritime surveillance, anti-pollution, pleasure yachts, and port and port facility security.

He is also a part-time instructor at Frederick University, teaching in the Maritime Studies Department.
